7-12 Year Olds
Our 7-12 year old program is designed to grow each child's innate sense of belonging to the natural world. We offer this program as a Family Focused experience, as children this age still look to their grown-ups for guidance. We want each child to see they are part of a community that models curiosity, patience, gratitude and belonging with the natural world.

Each session will include organic learning, unique to the season we are in. Subjects will include, but not be limited to:
-
Plant Identification/Biology
-
Botany
-
Herbalism
-
Foraging
-
Environmental Science
-
Animal Identification
-
Ecology
-
Sensory Awareness
-
Good Stewardship

Tending Nature
Hill & Creek is in the process of adopting a trail at Lakeside Wilderness Trails, located off of Fall Creek in Branson, MO. Our students will have the opportunity to give their energy, time and gratitude for nature by doing some light trail maintenance, one session a month during Fall & Spring Seasons.
When We Meet
Tuesdays 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.

Fall: Sept. 8th, '26- Nov. 3rd, '26
Spring: March 23rd '27- May 18th, '27
(Each Season is 9 sessions)
Where We Meet
For the safety of our students, we don't publish a calendar of locations onto our site.
This also offers us flexibility to choose locations a little closer to session dates, in order to optimize learning potential for the season and weather we may be having.
Once your child is enrolled, we will send you a link to a messaging platform so we may communicate details about future sessions: Location (see our Session Location page for a detailed list of possible session locations), items to bring, etc.
We will send out information no less than a week prior to sessions.

Family Focused
As parent, guardian or other special grown-up (aunt, uncle, grandparent, etc.) in your child's life, your role in our 7-12 year old class is a special one. We use many Forest Therapy techniques in our classes, and feel each grown-up will benefit as much from our sessions as our students will. Your presence, any level of participation you feel comfortable with and an occassional helping hand is invaluable to building our community. We genuinely send thanks to our future student grown-ups!
